Three things I cannot do for you

I cannot sell you a ferry ticket or tell you when the boat leaves. This site has no arrangement with the ferry operator and no seat allocation of any kind. Tickets are sold at puertoricoferry.com and through the operator’s own app, the schedule is dated and seasonal, and I deliberately publish no departure times at all. Somebody planning a return around a time they read on my site is the one mistake that could leave a visitor on an island of about 1,792 people with nowhere to sleep. I cannot change or cancel a boat booking. I am an independent writer, not a tour operator and not a travel agency. Trips booked through the links here are booked with GetYourGuide, and your confirmation email has their details on it. The cancellation terms that apply are the ones shown on the product you booked, and they differ from boat to boat.

I cannot promise you a beach. Not one of the seven boat trips listed here guarantees Flamenco Beach; captains pick by conditions, and two operators say so in writing. If one particular beach is the point of your day, boat trip or ferry is the page to read before you book anything.

What I do want in my inbox

Corrections first. A fare that has changed, a price that no longer matches a booking panel, a kiosk that has closed, a rating that has moved. If you have stood somewhere on this island recently and found this site out of date, you know something I do not.

After that, what confused you. If a page left you unsure whether the beach wristband applies to you, or whether a boat trip was the same thing as the ferry, that is my failure rather than yours and I will rewrite it. What I cannot help with is booking on your behalf, or any message that begins with an operator asking to be featured. Nobody pays to appear here, and the affiliate disclosure explains exactly what that means.

Where I am

This site is written from Culebra, Puerto Rico — Culebra barrio-pueblo, the town everybody calls Dewey, where the ferry dock is. If you want to see how the island actually sits: Culebra on Google Maps. The beach is about 2.5 miles from that dock, a ten-minute drive, and it is not a walk. How far it is has the públicos and what they cost.
