Privacy policy
Flamenco Beach Culebra collects as little as it can. There is no account to create, no newsletter to join, no form to fill in, and nothing here is gated. If you read a page and leave, I know almost nothing about you and want to know nothing more.
What is collected
Standard, anonymised traffic statistics: which pages are read, roughly which country a visit came from, and which page sent you here. I use it to work out which answers are worth expanding. No profile is built on you, nothing is sold to anybody, and there is no advertising network on this site.
Booking, and the GetYourGuide panels
The booking panels here are loaded from GetYourGuide, and the boat links go to GetYourGuide. Those panels are their software running inside my page, so they may set cookies of their own — including one that tells them a booking came from here, which is how the commission described on the affiliate disclosure is attributed. If you book, you do so on their site under their privacy policy, and your name, email and payment details are entered there and never here. I never see a card number.
The same goes for the ferry. This site does not sell ferry tickets and takes no details for one; if you buy a crossing, you buy it on the operator’s own site under its own policy.
Fonts, maps and other people’s links
Web fonts are loaded from Google Fonts, which means your browser makes a request to Google to fetch them. Links out to the ferry operator, the wildlife refuge and Google Maps take you to sites with their own policies, and this one ends at the click.
Your choices
You can block or clear cookies in your browser settings and the site will still work; the booking panels may not. If you have a question about data, or want to know what a particular page loads, ask me at [email protected] or through the contact page and I will answer it plainly.
